QuoteWe process your uploaded estimate and engine context to extract lines, create findings and allow operator review. Documents are stored privately; access is scoped to your estimate. Do not upload payment-card data or unnecessary personal information.
Choice over contribution
Processing consent is required. Contribution of de-identified quote data is separate and optional. It does not authorize AI training. Consented normalized estimates and confirmed invoice details stay in a private review queue. They are not automatically published or used as market benchmarks. Identifiers and free-form descriptions are excluded from these staged records; deleting your estimate removes its staged contribution.
Retention & deletion
Unpaid estimate data is scheduled for deletion after 7 days. Paid source documents are removed after 30 days and reports after 90 days. You can delete your estimate earlier from its page. Minimal payment and audit records remain separately from deleted document contents. Deletion also clears stored report findings, support text and staged contributions.
Optional business lookup
When enabled, Google Places receives the service area, engine brand and extracted business name/address to locate relevant businesses. We do not send the quote document, serial number or line-item amounts. Live Google business details are not stored in report evidence snapshots. Local rate research also checks those businesses’ public service pages, using no customer identifiers or document content. Results are shown live and are separate from the reviewed report and PDF. Google's Privacy Policy and Maps Terms apply to that content.
Providers
PDF text extraction and photo OCR run on our application server. Documents and reports use private application storage and PostgreSQL. Stripe processes card payments and refunds; QuoteBuoy does not receive your full card number. Google Places supplies nearby businesses. Optional Resend alerts contain a link to the operator queue, not uploaded document contents. Product analytics record event names, not document text or amounts.
